Currently working on major redevelopment projects at Kidbrooke and Royal Arsenal. I also undertake site appraisals for private sector clients on development opportunities and submit representations on emerging planning policy documents.Projects that I have secured Planning Permission for include: - Kidbrooke Village Centre - 983 new homes, hotel, supermarket, commercial floorspace, train station, village square, public accessible open space and GP surgery.- Kidbrooke Phase 4 - 1,260 new homes, energy centre and publicly accessible open space. - Delta, Deptford – Part 4/5 storey building consisting of 59 new homes.

Fareham

Drafted the Council's Statement of Community Involvement and helped to develop the planning policy framework (Core Strategy and Area Action Plan) for the north of Fareham ecotown.

Climate Change in Local Development Frameworks Guide – Produced guidance for planners on the plan development process and how to address climate change adaptation and mitigation. The guide has been advocated as good practice and kept up to date to help planners understand evolving policy requirements and practice. I have also provided one to one support for local authorities and recently helped to secure funding to improve the climate change skills of planners in the South East. Sustainability Appraisal of the Regional Strategy – Responsible for project managing and carrying out the sustainability appraisal of the Regional Strategy and ensuring it is undertaken in parallel with development of the Regional Strategy. Worked closely with statutory and non statutory stakeholders, delegated work streams and produced papers for technical advisory groups and decision makers. Regional Sustainability Framework – Worked with partners to develop a framework to monitor and manage performance on sustainable development in the South East of England. Championed action on sustainability priorities and worked with national bodies to co-ordinate action. South East Green Infrastructure Guide – Helped to shape guidance for local authorities on green infrastructure. Planned and facilitated a programme of advocacy workshops for planning officers and councillors.Carbon Trajectories – Researched and developed an innovative tool to monitor and predict future carbon dioxide emissions in the South East of England. The tool has been used to inform policy development and monitoring at the regional and local level. Environmental Limits Research – Secured funding and project managed research to help interpret the government’s definition of sustainable economic development in the South East.

Thurrock Greengrid Strategy – Worked with partners and across departments to develop a green infrastructure framework that complied with national and sub regional policy requirements. Coordinated the public consultation in accordance with the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement and helped to embed the Strategy into the Local Development Framework and service level activities. Cited as good practice by CABE Space. Local Development Framework – Worked with planning policy colleagues on the Issues and Options consultation. Also worked with the Urban Development Corporation to ensure their regeneration priorities were informed by the evidence base underpinning the Local Development Framework. Major Applications – Provided development control colleagues with comments on environmental issues on major applications.
