It was a wonderful opportunity to talk about long term planning that goes on in a strategy game, working out the dependencies needed to achieve a larger goal, tactically adjusting to the moment when unexpected moves happen, being able to read a lengthy rulebook and convey the complex ideas to new players in an easy to understand way, and getting together with friends to all have a great time!
