My name is Greg Pyke. As a Baltimore native, I attended The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland where I was a three-sport athlete playing lacrosse, football, and basketball. I was blessed to have the physical size and athletic ability to be recruited for lacrosse and football college scholarships. Upon thorough consideration I chose to play football in college.I was fortunate to be offered an athletic scholarship to play SEC football at the University of Georgia. I started 40 games as and was an All-American Offensive Lineman. Earning my degree in Human Development and Family Science reinforced my interest to work with children in a coaching and mentoring capacity. It is my belief that the experiences while playing sports and lessons learned on the field are valuable tools in the development of a young person. It is my professional and personnel goal for student athletes to become the best player on the field and best person off the field. After finishing college football and having the opportunity to be coached by many of the best coaches in the country, I played a few years in the NFL. This continued my journey of learning about life through sports.My aim is to train young men and encourage them to strive to be the best in their craft. I wish to instill competitiveness, work ethic, intelligence, and leadership in young players. “Playing until you hear the whistle” is a fundamental attitude of the offensive lineman training.
