Technical Services/Engineering Programs Manager – Responsible for managing all areas of Technical Services which include Prototype/Sample Production, Cost Estimating, New Product Introduction, PPAP, Change Management, Project Engineering, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Facilities in a high-volume automotive supplier manufacturing plant. Responsible for all interactions with customers for new product development, new product launches, supplier and customer initiated changes. Responsible for completing all PPAP requirements and documentation, and APQP processes requirements to automotive OEM customers based on program timing. Responsible for directing Launch Engineering teams to meet all customer requirements and program timing for the introduction of new products. Work with all levels of production, engineering, sales, management, and the customer to ensure product, quality, tooling, and processes are completed according to all program timelines and requirements. Responsible for plant feasibility of new program quotes, and cost estimating to win new programs. Responsible for all maintenance and facilities requirements which include repairs, sourcing, scheduling, PM’s, reviews, and improvements. Responsible for all tooling for new programs and maintaining tool life and readiness for production. Responsible for improving tool performance to reduce scrap, downtime and repairs. Responsible for all facilities requirements, including grounds, building, HVAC, and plant operating equipment. Responsible for lean projects, Kaizens, eliminating wastes, andprocess improvement.

Industrial Engineering Lead - Responsible for the direction of the Industrial engineering department in supporting Production Operations activities, developing standards, and conforming to adherence, identifying deviations, and root cause analysis. Responsible for developing and documenting new processes, and improving current processes, work instructions, training aids, and other departmental tools. Responsible for training, education and development of others throughout the entire facility in the use of problem-solving tools and techniques. Responsible for leading teams and supporting projects. Responsible for time and motion studies, SPC, MSA, Process Capability, FMEA, etc… Responsible for Supporting and developing NPI efforts to drive collaborative and cross-functional development processes. Continuous Improvement Leader – Responsible for leading, educating and facilitating all continuous improvement activities using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Responsible for project completion, implementation, and sustaining process improvements. Responsible for evaluating and prioritizing project selection. Responsible for training employees, leaders and mangers on the use of Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Worked with all areas of the company to implement process improvement.

Area of responsibility, Core Steel. Responsible for all production through Rollforms, CNC’s, Lasers, 400 ton presses and machine areas. Support Atlanta, California and Mexico outlying plants with product. Lead Quick die change and Set-up reduction programs. Responsible for implementing Pull systems and Kanbans for the support of down stream customer, reducing inventory and Lean processes. Area of responsibility, Paint. Responsible for all paint processes. Responsible for overseeing production through Powder Paint shop, Wet paint shop, Quick response hand line, Lacquer paint finishes and Pre-paint treatment washer system. Responsible for meeting departmental goals such as hours per unit, paint quality, line downtime, cost reduction, process improvement, process qualification and ergonomic improvements. Support the entire Final Assembly process with painted product and responsible for plant schedule close. Back-up for Plant Team Leader. Area of responsibility, Casegoods. Responsible for the entire Casegoods production area. Responsible for production flow, schedule close, maintaining quality and ISO procedures for personnel. Responsible for meeting production goals and business goals set by upper management. Responsible for department budget.P.I. Facilitator - Responsible for evaluating and implementing improvements to processes, operations, material flow and to reduce cost of goods sold. Responsible for implementing “Lean” processes for manufacturing operations in accordance with (SPS) “Steelcase Production System”. Also responsible for education and training of personnel to process improvement procedures. Interface with Purchasing, Vendors, Supervision, Engineering and Upper Management.

Manufacturing Manager. - Responsible for all electronic and mechanical mfg, Engineering of tooling fixtures and drawings for production. Responsible for inspection of all items and preparing/presenting to government QAR when required. Resident Category C Instructor/Examiner, responsible for training employees to MIL-STD- 2000 requirements. Contract administrator over all electronic and mechanical solicitations. Responsible for company’s adherence and compliance to all contract requirements. Responsible for implementing MIL-Q-9858 & MIL-I-45208 quality procedures. Quote on material, labor & contract requirements. Prepare solicitations for Government acceptance and approval. Order materials for contracts, interface with Vendors and subcontractors.
