Greg Rule is a meteorologist for WINK-TV in Fort Myers, FL. Greg was previously an on-air meteorologist at WeatherNation covering everything from blizzards, wind events, tropical storms to severe weather. He joined the WeatherNation team in early 2019. Greg was previously the Chief Meteorologist for KREX/KFQX in Grand Junction, CO from 2012 - late 2018 and made a name for himself in the Grand Valley/Aspen area with successful hits such as his 'Weather Guy On The Fly' series, where he reports live from various locations throughout the summer months. Reporting from events such as the downtown Farmer's Market and Palisade Peach Festival. He has also given weather lectures to well over 3000 students over the years. Greg also had wonderful success with his JR. Forecaster segments, where a chosen student reported the weather live in the studio, and received a 25$ gift card to the local grocery store. Greg previously did weekend weather for KWES News West 9 (NBC) in Midland, TX.Prior to his time in Texas, Greg interned at KMGH 7 News (ABC) in Denver, CO and was mentored by Mike Nelson. He earned his bachelor of science degree in Meteorology with a minor in Mathematics from Metropolitan State University of Denver in the Spring of 2011. While in school, Greg was the vice president of SCAMS, the Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
