During his 45+ years in the construction industry, Greg has worked on projects ranging from $3 million to $120 million. As Mainbrace’s Managing Director, Greg is actively involved in all aspects of the business operations. His experience and wisdom have underpinned the company’s stability and consistency over the last decade.Greg’s career began in 1973 with Rider Hunt as a Quantity Surveyor, including 12 months based in Asia. In 1983 he joined Girvan Corporation as a Project Administrator, progressing through to Contracts Manager. At Girvan, Greg gained experience on retail, commercial and industrial projects, including both design and construct and hard dollar.In 1995 Greg started at Mainbrace. Commencing as a Project Manager, Greg was quickly promoted to Construction Manager in 1996 where he oversaw all projects and operations. In 2001 Greg acquired a 10% share in Mainbrace and succeeded Peter McKinnon in becoming Managing Director. In this role, Greg oversees the business on all levels, providing accessible leadership to all employees and stakeholders. Greg is now a major shareholder in the business.During Greg’s leadership the company has tripled in size while continuing to deliver projects in a consistent and dependable manner, allowing Mainbrace to build a solid industry reputation and numerous significant long term professional relationships.Greg takes a personable approach to staff resulting in low attrition and high loyalty. Equally, Greg believes in working with clients in a fair and professional manner, an ethic he has entrenched in the company culture. Testimony to this approach is the fact that over 75% of Mainbrace’s work each year comes from repeat business.Mainbrace maintains offices in Sydney and Brisbane and conducts projects Australia wide.
