Compliance & Operational Risk - Qa Manager

Created governance and oversight and reporting functions for bulk purchase transactions, provided quarterly reporting on Modifications and Subordination reviews and monthly reporting on declined requests, early payment defaults, and foreclosures.Key Accomplishments• Created Quality Control reporting and trending for Portfolio loans• Portfolio Defect Rate improved from 1.47% in 2013 to 0.73% in 2014• Conforming Gross Defect Rate improved from 8.70% (2013) to 3.30% (2014); Conforming Net Defect Rate improved from 1.46% (2013) to 0.89% (2014)• Provided underwriting the opportunity to respond to all findings prior to publication of reporting, and worked with Operation managers to develop action plans to drive improvement• Monthly audits and reporting completed within 60 days of sampling• Provided oversight of vendor due diligence on bulk purchase transactions that resulted in the purchase of over $937 million in loans in 2014• OCC rated the Quality Control process as “Strong”
