PTR is a leading provider of market research services covering the global power grid, new energy, e-mobility, and charging infrastructure areas.

I help identify which public and private technology companies to invest in on behalf of the funds we manage. I perform research and coordinate the efforts of others to discover the nature of the market opportunity at hand and the ability of the company seeking investment to execute.

I worked on technology market consulting projects for different customers including performing investment diligence, market opportunity assessments, competitive analysis reports, and recommending market entry strategies.

After being acquired by IHS as part of iSuppli I continued managing the PV/Solar research practice. The business had grown into being one of the largest and most influential in the solar industry. Over the past year we successfully integrated the iSuppli, the IMS Research, and Emerging Energy Research (EER) practices together. During 2012 I also oversaw the launch of IHS' water research practice and managed the IHS Global Insight healthcare/pharma research practice.

Was one of the founders of iSuppli, a technology market intelligence firm. The company was sold to IHS in November of 2010. My role was leading the development and market positioning of iSuppli's market intelligence products and services (which became its only business after the first year). I also lead the development and management of the analyst team. In the later years there I had transitioned into a role focused on developing innovative new research practices while working closely with customers. Some of the new areas included customer spend analysis, customer design influence, mobile handset design forecast tool, consumer buying behavior tools, and the company's buy-sde targeted financial services. My final role was a contributor to and leader of the PV/Solar research team.

Leader of the worldwide semiconductor group -- at the time the largest such practice in the world. Responsible for managing the P&L and a team of analysts deployed around the world delivering insights and analysis about market outlooks and competitive analysis. As an analyst I covered many markets including the hyper activity of the dot com era and the buildout of the Internet, digital consumer technology, and the emergence of mobile communications. Notable contributions included being the initial developer of Dataquest's teardown business and the principal developer of a first-of-a-kind worldwide electronics market analysis tool.

In charge of market and competitive analysis for Fairchild. Worked with R&D, various business unit product management teams, and marketing to prioritize investments as well as benchmark and monitor progress in the market place. Markets included high performance computing, high performance processors, ASICs, logic, analog, and discretes. I was also on the board of the Worldwide Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) program, a global industry market data sharing group.
