I serve as the national lead for the BLM Interpretation Program, providing leadership and support for interpretation activities across the nation's largest land management agency, encompassing one in every 10 acres of land in the United States. This includes the National Conservation Lands system consisting of 35 million acres of National Monuments, National Conservation Areas, Wilderness Areas, Wilderness Study Areas, Wild and Scenic Rivers, National Scenic and Historic Trails, Cooperative Management and Protection Areas, Outstanding Natural Areas, Forest Reserves and National Scenic Areas. I also coordinate the BLM Artist in Residence program nationwide.

I served in the Office of Communications for the Oregon & Washington State Office of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, helping people connect to more than 16.1 million acres of public land & resources in Oregon & Washington. My primary beats included speechwriter for the director; communications lead on regional programs including Archaeology & Cultural Resources, Paleontology, Greater Sage-grouse, Wild Horse & Burro, and Rangeland issues; and advisor to the region's eight Resource Advisory Councils. I was an FAA and Department of the Interior certified UAS/drone pilot, and I also served as photographer, writer, editor, and a curator of digital & social media.

Temporary promotion as the deputy director of the Office of Communications for the Oregon & Washington State Office of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, helping manage staff and operations that connect the public to more than 16.1 million acres of public land & resources in Oregon & Washington.

I teach Public History Lab: Historic Site Interpretation in the History Department at Portland State University.

I manage interpretation, education, and public history programming at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site (a unit of the National Park System) and the Vancouver National Historic Reserve. I also teach as an adjunct professor in the Creative Media & Digital Culture Program at Washington State University Vancouver and as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of History at Portland State University.

I managed all campgrounds and fee collection personnel and programming at Yosemite National Park.

I managed all event and commercial film projects in units of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, including Alcatraz Island, The Presidio, Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, Fort Point, Crissy Field and other national park lands in the San Francisco Bay Area.
