I also advise Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence & Research Group on competition law and policy affecting Microsoft’s AI and intelligent platform cloud initiatives. And I am also responsible for Microsoft’s M&A regulatory matters worldwide, most recently including merger clearance in the US and Europe for Microsoft’s 2018 acquisition of GitHub, the largest open source developer and development community website in the world. Other past acquisitions include LinkedIn (2016), Nokia Devices & Services, Skype, and Microsoft’s participation in the “Rockstar JV” acquisition of the Nortel patent portfolio.
