2X1 Combined Cycle, Black Start Capability for ACE and PJM. The primary components of the Facility include two Siemens SGT6-PAC 5000F Combustion Turbine Generators (CTGs), two CMI Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), one Alstom STF-30C Steam Turbine Generator (STG), a mechanical draft cooling tower, water and wastewater treatment systems, and related balance of plant and auxiliary equipment. The CTGs are each nominally rated at 237 MW. The STG is nominally rated at 325 MW. Each HRSG is a triple pressure (high, intermediate, and low), reheat, vertical tube, natural circulation boiler, with natural gas fired duct burners. The CTGs are natural gas fired units equipped with Dry Low NOx combustion technology.- Responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant from the control room. - Stop, start, monitor, adjust, troubleshoot two 237 MW Siemens combustion turbines, 325 MW GE-Alstom steam turbine generator, two high pressure CMI heat recovery steam generators, 12 MW 'blackstart' diesel generators, water makeup plant, environmental controls and monitoring, gas supply metering and pipeline operations, high voltage electrical switching and generator operations for grid support. - Direct and coordinate plant operators during plant upsets, planned maintenance, lockout tagout, troubleshooting, and system evolutions.- Serve as lockout tagout authority for generating, tracking, and administering the LOTO program in accordance with established procedures.- Generate new procedures and update or modify existing procedures.- Generate operations logs for record-keeping and compliance.- Communicate with the I&C department, maintenance department, operations manager, maintenance manager, maintenance planner, plant engineer, plant manager, corporate office, asset managers, outside contractors, Atlantic City Electric, and equipment manufacturers in person, over the phone, radio, and via e-mail.

Coal fired cogeneration facility. Supplied process steam to DuPont Chambers Works and operated under a long term power purchase agreement with Atlantic City Electric. One 285 MW Alstom steam turbine generator and two high pressure coal-fired foster wheeler boilers. As a Plant Operator I was responsible for oversight and operation of plant systems including clarifiers, lime slakers, coal mills, coal burners, flyash handling equipment, forklifts, aerial platforms, light to moderate maintenance and repair duties, taking rounds, writing work orders, isolating systems for repair and inspection, labeling systems, generating procedures, and supporting maintenance activities during outages.
