I cover a 9-state territory selling locking devices to utilities. I work with manufacturer’s representatives, distributors, and customers, in both a sales and consultative capacity. Communicating technical ideas, creative problem solving, and managing time and resources are everyday activities.

Project management duties included estimation, quote preparation, sales presentation, and management of successful bids. Responsibilities included purchasing of materials, awarding sub-contracts, cost control, scheduling and coordination of different trades, and invoicing. Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental regulations were necessary for completion of duties.

Sales and marketing of products and services offered by American Boilerhouse Co., Inc., which includes hot water & steam boilers, burners, control system upgrades, design/build installations, consultation, and service. I managed mechanical projects and coordinated the service schedule as well. Also worked as mechanic, service technician, and pipe fitter as needed.

Market development and sales of temperature sensing and heating products in the aerospace and gas turbine industry for North America. . Developed preliminary design concepts and prototypes to meet customer’s specifications.

Responsibilities included the market development and sales of plastic converting machinery and technical services. Developed and did preliminary design of specialty equipment. Extensive technical knowledge of equipment, competitor’s capabilities, and the properties of plastic materials were required in order to effectively demonstrate capabilities, sell equipment, diagnose machine problems, and train customers.
