I conducted daily problem solving on the production line with manufacturing engineers and production associates. Technical operations that I worked with includes, optical switches, electro pneumatic actuators, DC load and test equipment, magnetic coils and magnetic coersivity measurement, plasma welders, resistance welders, X-Ray fluorescence thickness equipment, hi-pot testers, optical and video microscopes, precision measurement equipment, metal forming, staking, swaging and riveting, precision adhesive application equipment, and leak testing. Daily experience with corrective actions such as 8D and 5-Why analysis; internal process audits, APQP, PPAP submissions and FMEAs. Daily experience in customer support, including responding to Daimler Chrysler, General Motors, and Delphi on-line corrective action reporting systems. As a Core Quality Engineer, much of my time was spent supporting various operating departments in both the U.S. and Mexico. Such as, thermoplastic injection molding, metal stamping and electroplating. I have worked with other quality engineers developing processes and work instructions for the production lines. I was also responsible for working with suppliers to resolve their quality problems. This plant is scheduled to close in late 2005 as all production moves to Tyco's Mexico facility. My former position no longer exists at Tyco.
