Design Engineer / Component Manager for Crankshafts, Connecting Rods, Pistons, Bearings, Flywheels, Balance Shafts & Gears. My responsibilities include but are not limited to: Solid modeling / Print work, ECN, BOMC, CPC, FMEA, Design Standards, Problem Identification & Corrective Action, TIR, Dynamic Modeling Analysis (MCAD).• Designed 3.4 L 225 hp V6 crankshaft for outboard engine program• Designed 4.3L V6 & 5.2 L V8 (Split Pin) crankshaft for inboard engines. • Designed in-line 4 cylinder crankshaft for 150 hp 3.0L 4 stroke outboard engine.• Designed Mercury first twice engine speed, dual counter rotating balance system.• Developed sprocket & chain drive system with tensioner for balance system • Developed new piston for 150 hp 3.0 L 4 stroke engine• Redesigned 4 stroke Verado In-line 4 cylinder & 6 cylinder 200hp / 300hp for increased horsepower, reduced windage friction, improved fuel economy and lowered cost.• Developed improved NVH characteristics for Walleye oil pump.As a complete rotating and reciprocating engineer, I am flexible to fill in where needed from pistons, rods, crankshafts and gears, to other drive and balance systems. My expertise is controlling vibration, so that block and bearing loads are manageable, while also ensure the durability of parts managing the combustion, to rotary dynamic motion.
