I started School Design Matters to study the latest thinking on teaching and learning and determine how facilities might support the continuing evolution of education. I offer clients independent consulting concerning facility needs for school transformation. I am dedicated to helping clients plan and design school facilities that support student centered teaching and learning.I am interested in how technology is changing education and how teachers can use technology to enhance their interactions with students and each other. I am very knowledgeable on approaches taken by other countries to improve their educational systems and keenly interested in how educational facilities in these countries support their missions. I actively review the latest research on how facilities influence learning and the best practices for educational facility design.

Greg Stack is an educational architect, designer, thinker and writer. He combines career-long experience in educational planning and design, and creative vision with the latest research on learning to create educationally sustainable learning spaces. He has planned and designed numerous K-12, college, university and specialty educational buildings during his 31-year career in architecture. As the K-12 Knowledge Leader for NAC|Architecture, Greg works firm-wide to develop deep knowledge in the planning and design issues of learning environments. He has authored articles on a range of K-12 subjects and has presented analytical perspectives on K-12 topics at a variety of conferences.
