Serve as Operations Manager and Process Engineer for a plastics manufacturer that produces urethane, compression molded, and rubber injection molded seals, and other various custom molded parts. Directly manage 30+ molding operators, quality inspectors, supervisors, setup technicians, materials handlers and warehouse staff. Types of materials used include santoprene and urethane various shores of hardness, polycarbonate, acetal, and hytrel.  Produce accurate records and reports of daily production and waste, lot component and process inspection data sheets, inventory documents departmental associate contra charge sheets, and Division Factory Work Order charges. Interview, hire and train personnel across all levels of the manufacturing process. Determine and implement disciplinary actions as necessary. Track associate status changes, levels of absence, disciplinary actions and evaluations.  Review and process daily sales department orders. .  Develop daily production schedule to include required materials and equipment. Established all project parameters; sampled and qualified new molds and implemented design changes including gates, venting, and runner to optimize molding process.  Conduct inventory of materials and replenish stock as needed.  Issue timely work orders and materials necessary to maximize operating efficiencies and service levels. Analyze work order variances. Ensure equipment operability; conduct equipment inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance. Identify problematic areas and determine resolution.  Implement injection process controls and quality systems; optimize new mold designs and improving upon existing molds. Maintains a working set of VOs, VSs, VTs, QA Specifications and ECOs required to support the manufacture of components and finished goods under plant and FDA quality regulations. Ensure facility remains ISO 9000 compliant. Lead monthly safety meetings and Safety Program Ma
