2/97-3/20 Executive Director –Software Development Group. In 1997 I worked at Frazer-Nash Technologies as Executive Director- Software Development Group. From there I gradually increased the size of the project team and increased efficiency to a point where we were producing 6-7 new products per year and generating multi –million pound contracts with clients. I was proud to have a dedicated, well-balanced and happy team of individuals working under my direction. Although senior management, I tried hard to maintain my ‘hands on’ expertise by actively being involved in all project stages and passing to colleagues for final release and testing stages. This means in my more recent years at FNR I have project managed and developed, A Hybrid Monorail incorporating Instrumentation display systems, Safety Systems, Telemetry, CAN high level protocols, Brushless DC Control Algorithms, Engine Management Systems along with a full Visual Simulation (VIS SIM) packages (my own) for various monorail projects in opengl. I also was also a chief designer of The AMPS Multiplex System for car lighting and instrument control; a next generation network car solution, which also can control electric motors and steering ‘drive by wire’. I also developed many applications under WINCE, including wireless push pull systems, security systems, and the Al’Murshid a Muslim prayer helper program. In my time at FNR I frequently entertained dignitaries and World leaders and explained and demonstrated our state-of-the-art products. I have spent considerable time abroad in Malaysia and the USA in liaison with clients, as well as construction and commissioning work on the Malaysian monorail.
