I daily develop plans, techniques, and implement them to address current or anticipated problems and issues involving systems I am assigned.I apply experience and comprehensive knowledge of electronics engineering principles, theories, and concepts as it relate to electronic circuits, equipment, and systems, for purposes such as communication, computation, sensing, control, measurement, and navigation. I daily analyze performance of equipment and systems in assigned areas and identify the need to investigate and resolve problems that impact system performance, reliability, or service continuity. I conduct engineering studies of system-wide scope to develop and implement solutions to these complex problems. The engineering studies I conduct involve extensive research across engineering disciplines to develop new and innovative methods of testing or apply new technologies to resolve problems. I use experience to solve unusual problems and create new policy and guidance. I am able to use diverse engineering disciplines such as electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software engineering to support the needs of the FAA. I identify new maintenance and testing technologies and practices, and initiate efforts to incorporate these into maintenance documentation for assigned systems. I play a lead role in the review, development, and enhancement of technical instruction books and maintenance handbooks.
