Modern multiparty compute and other cryptographic protocols make the next generation of user authentication tools possible. Ideem is integrating these approaches together into a single software module that offers hardware-like security. A software approach is far superior to hardware in that it is portable across mobile, browser, cloud environments, etc. and upgradeable as environments change. Ideem makes it possible for companies to seamlessly enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) for their customers, rather than forcing their customers to take positive action (i.e. accept and process an OTP, use an authenticator app, etc.). In sum, Ideem allows companies to reduce fraud, reduce expense and increase customer satisfaction.
Listed skills include Management Consulting, Program Management, Business Process Improvement, Business Transformation, and 12 others.

Working as an independent consultant, have assisted several small, entrepreneurial companies with important business issues. In one case, I assisted the company President in developing a shared services platform onto which acquired companies could be merged in order to deliver the company’s “roll up” strategy. In another case I assisted a company’s start up team in developing and executing a market entry plan for their new company and product. In a different case I assisted company partners in refreshing their business strategy, enabling them to pursue the next level of company growth. Working as an instructor of budding entrepreneurs I have had numerous opportunities to mentor and counsel individuals working to bring innovative ideas to market.
My current interests are focused on the intersection of data and data science/analytics-oriented research; the goal being to continue to discover opportunities to disrupt decisions and industries currently based on human judgement. In my current role I have had the opportunity to contribute in multiple exciting ways – from completing individual research projects to developing processes to manage a world-class bio-metric research organization to helping integrate that organization into a global company (Ant Financial). At Zoloz we are combining modern computing power with deep neural networks to create the artificial intelligence necessary to make machines recognize humans at higher accuracy than we can as humans. We have developed and are continuing to develop “first in the world” technologies.

Working at the intersection of data analytics and innovation, I had several roles. First, I am helped build the data and analytics framework, skills and tools necessary to understand and stay ahead of global customer needs. Second, organized and implemented world class research capability, commensurate with the need of a truly global technology leader. Third, I assisted with a range of short term research projects in support of product development. Fourth, I supported driving innovation from customers through to the delivered product.
I help the MySidewalk.com data science team with various descriptive and predictive analytics projects. Example projects include developing an analysis of the impact of 200+ demographic and economic variables on high school student test scores across a large metropolitan public school system, and assisting with the development of a population forecasting approach that will accurately predict total population and population cohorts for any geographic area of the United States for several years into the future.

First, for multiple years was responsible for internal management of Accenture’s North American Utility Industry Finance and Performance Management practice. This practice area was a $100m+ business, spanning typical ERP implementations to Activity Based Management implementations, to HR/Payroll systems. Our strategic focus was CFOs at Fortune 1000 utility companies, and we helped them with the strategic change initiatives on their agenda. During this tenure the practice grew in both dollar volume, number of professionals employed and functional expertise covered. Second, for two years was also responsible Accenture’s Supply Chain Management practice for the same target clients. The practice grew into a $40m+ business at which point it was turned over to a newly hired partner. The practice area covered systems and inventory management as well as strategic sourcing initiatives. Third, for two years was a Kansas City “community lead” partner with responsibility for the recruitment, human resource function, skill development and career advancement of 150+ professionals located in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Fourth, for two years was the South Region Utility Industry Lead, responsible for all client engagement development and execution in the region. Responsible for the partner team pursuing business, developing service offering proposals, negotiating contracts, executing engagements and ensuring client quality achievement.

Worked with the CEO of a Fortune 500 company to deliver an enterprise-wide $1 billion plus cost reduction program. The plan coordinated 500+ professionals globally, and delivered the business value anticipated. The change impacted all functional areas of this 14,000 employee, unionized company. Worked with the CEO of a now Fortune Global 500 company to merge a series of acquisitions into the international business. The project developed a common operating platform and moved each of the acquisitions onto it; delivering substantial shareholder value. The client has subsequently used the platform for additional acquisitions as it pursues it’s growth strategy. Worked with the CFO of a different Fortune 500 company to develop from scratch a Trading and Risk Management function. This engagement consisted of developing the functions, organization, systems and processes to allow this client to become an effective, well managed, and compliant energy trading company. Many aspects of this engagement involved intensive, leading edge data analytics in order to derive the client’s portfolio risk position (i.e. contract and counter party risk analytics). The company subsequently merged the capability into a joint venture that was eventually sold for more than $1 billion. Worked with the same CFO to develop an internal cost management analytics capability which facilitated the client’s complex matrix management approach. The solution allowed consistent, accurate analysis of revenues and costs across shared services, multiple regulated states, and several organizational business units. These engagements and many others have given me functional experience in HR/Payroll, Finance and Performance Analytics, Supply Chain, ERP, Work Management, and Shared Services.
