I was one of six camera operators responsible for filming an entire season of the Fireball Run over the course of eight days. The show was filmed in real time, allowing no room for mistakes. Each day I was assigned to a different team of contestants, in which I would follow them wherever they went, as they completed challenges for the game, I was responsible for capturing as much interesting footage as possible. My challenge was to get great footage without knowing where I'm going, how much time I would have (the gameshow was timed so the contestants, my subjects, had no mind to wait for me to setup my shot). I quickly gained the ability to read a situation, figure out the most interesting way to shoot it, and then get the shot. This was a fast paced work environment, where I learned to think and shoot on the fly. My operator skill set greatly benefitted from this production and I had a ton of fun doing it.

In my first year with Fireball run, I was the assistant to the associate producer. The Fireball Run Adventure Rally, season eight "America's Frontier" is a twenty one episode web series which was shot over the course of twelve days. It is a game show, a travel series, a scavenger hunt, and a game of trivial pursuit, all shot in real time over 2000 miles and 5 states.As the assistant of the associate producer, I was responsible for helping him with anything and everything that needed done, this included: coordinating events with city leaders, overseeing the construction of stages and A/V equipment, communicating instructions from the producers to various departments and members of the production crew, and any and all odd errands that the AP couldn't do himself. I really enjoyed my experience working on the Fireball run. I learned what it takes to make reality television, while learning a lot from shadowing two fantastic producers.

My main task was to ensure that each department of the post production process such as, editorial, sound, color, and visual effects, met their deadlines. I created detailed progress reports and delivered them weekly to producers/directors, as well as, kept crew members informed about developing requirements, and assisted editors in: Red CineX, Adobe Premiere, Adobe SpeedGrade, Adobe Audition, and Avid Media Composer.

I operated the camera, framing and exposing shots to meet artistic and technical goals. I've worked as a camera assistant, switching lenses, pulling focus, and assembling a Red Rock micro shoulder rig, follow focus, matte box on a daily basis. I also worked with key grips and gaffers to setup and strike lights, build set pieces, wrap cables, and perform a variety of other production related tasks.
