Just joined ACC as an e-procurement specialist

This position provides vision, leadership, strategic direction and central co-ordination and management of the Department’s procurement activity, processes and systems.Including:· Development, maintenance, review and application of Departmental procurement: strategy, objectives and policy, including contribution to All of Government procurement reform.· Rationalisation, standardisation and ongoing management of procure to pay process, including responsibility for centralised operational sourcing and accounts payable.· Delivering sustained reductions in the cost of goods and services through supplier rationalisation and leading strategic sourcing projects.· Providing oversight, direction and advice on procurement activity undertaken within individual business units.· Leadership and management of strategic sourcing, procurement technology and accounts payable teams totalling around 40 staff members.

Joined newly created National Procurement Team (NPT), responsible for centralising co-ordination and control of the procurement process, achieved in part via the introduction of e-procurement technology (SAP SRM). Included:· In conjunction with project manager developed key documentation, including:o terms of referenceo business caseo user requirement.· Documented existing multiple procurement processes, and designed new standardised procurement processes.· Lead business process stream of project to ensure the integration of business processes to SRM, and conducted user acceptance testing.· Performed user and supplier induction to new procurement system and processes, including the provision of user training.· Project managed tendering process for and implementation of, purchasing cards for low value out of office transactions.· Lead and managed category reviews for stationery and travel, and managed resulting contracts on an ongoing basis. · Developed job descriptions and commenced recruitment processes for new staff.

The Legal Services Agency provided access to legal services through the Legal Aid Schemes and Community Law Centres. My initial role with the Agency was primarily focused on:· Working with the legal profession to establish criteria and standards, which providers of legal services need to meet to be eligible to provide legal aid services.· Developing a framework for, and conducting reviews of, provider performance, to ensure consistency, and ongoing meeting of standards.· Developing a contracting framework to ensure effective service provision by providers. My role was subsequently extended and redefined to encompass the development of the Agency's performance reporting system.Additional responsibilities relating to performance reporting were:· To project manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive performance reporting framework and system.· Analysis of the Agency’s business processes and performance, identifying and implementing improvements.

Implementation of electronic commerce and EDI with suppliers. · Maintenance of procurement related SAP master data. · Responsibility for contract management with a number of key suppliers.· Management of supplier review projects, including supplier selection, negotiation, implementation, and ongoing contract management.
