Reporting to the CEO, the role manages the strategic and tactical aspects of the Trust's energy portfolio.

A senior role in the Geothermal Business Unit managing and leading multiple operations on the Mokai geothermal field. The role provided strategic influence on safety, asset integrity and commercial and operational performance. I managed a multiple discipline team.

Combined the roles of Power Plant Manager and Steamfield Manager.The role focused on safety, asset integrity and commercial performance along with staff engagement. P&L accountability for the Geothermal Power Plant, consisting of 4 units generating 82MW through a binary cycle. Approx 14 onsite staff, and +20 technical and commercial support staff. Part of the O&M team managing various aspects of day-to-day operations and maintenance, engineering projects, plant performance, risk mitigation strategies and asset management. Provided steam turbine technical support across five sites, four geothermal and one combined cycle.

Provided technical advice on steam turbines and rotating equipment to support operational excellence and development of new capital projects in geothermal power plants.

Provided the engineering processes including feasibility studies, conceptual design and engineering management. Prepared tenders, negotiated contractual terms and conditions with various suppliers.

Started out as a Turbine Technician and progressed through to project planning in the Mining and Petrochemical Departments. Took on the role as Project Manager in the Power Generation Department. Managed general overhauls to minor inspections on coal fired power plant units. Undertook engineering studies and prepared reports on the findings and repair recommendations.

Started as an apprentice with Elca Engineering, went on to engineering training and progressed through to a Turbine Technician.
