Responsibility for all aspects of the development and operations of the PGI Offshore Funds. This comprised Dublin domiciled Funds established under the Principal Global Investors Funds UCITS and Principal Global Opportunities Series plc Qualifying Investor Fund umbrellas, plus a range of Islamic qualifying Funds under the CIMB-Principal Islamic Asset Management umbrella, established as a joint venture with CIMB-Principal in Malaysia.

Headed up the Product Development Team. Responsible for the development and delivery of new retail and institutional investment products, both UK and offshore domiciled. The role also covered the ongoing review and development of the Group’s existing products, including OEICs, Investment Trusts, SICAVs, a range of institutional pension fund and segregated products and Venture Capital Trusts.

The UK Product Development Manager role involved:• New product innovation and design for UK domiciled open-ended product ranges• Production and presentation of detailed product specifications/business cases• Review and interpretation of legislation relating to ISAs and unit trusts, as well as life assurance and pension products in respect of existing business.• Specification of resulting changes to IT systems and administration procedures• Project management of new products from design stage to launch• Provision of technical support, including writing and presentation of training courses and interactive workshops• Management of UK Product Development Team in relation to all of the above Subsidiary role as Group Advertising Officer involved sole responsibility for final compliance sign off of all Fleming Group investment advertisements and literature, including: • Marketing literature including sales aids, key features, application forms and brochures• Press advertisements/Press releases• Posters/floor media, Radio, TV and website advertising• Fund manager’s reports and fund performance statistics The role demanded an appreciation of marketing issues and techniques as well as a thorough understanding of the IMRO and PIA compliance regulations.

Responsibility for project managing the implementation of administration procedures and support functions in respect of new life and pension products and product enhancements. In particular the role involved: • Production of detailed administration specifications• Design and specification of administration systems and procedures• Design and implementation of user test programmes• Writing and running of staff training courses, both on a one to one and group basis• Providing technical support for the Life and Pensions Department of approximately 100 staff
