I currently work as a business development manager at Contend Social, a youth ran tech startup in London and Toronto, Canada. In my role, I nurture leads and provide valued feedback to our clients and leads to determine which accounts are most urgent and where clients require the most assistance. Being a business development manager allows me to connect with dozens of like-minded individuals and learn more about different industries and clients every day and gives me a chance to create value in the relationships Contend creates with their clients and leads (contact points). In addition to helping to nurture client success and development, I also aid in the onboarding of new clients into our systems.My responsibilities include:<> Conducting sales processes and finding new leads.<> Communicating with current and prospective clients, opening new services and integrating new clients into our company.<> Working on a team of creative and operations staff.<> Sending emails and phone calls to multiple people and groups across Canada and the USA.<> Building personal connections with leads and clients to build a relationship with clients.<> Helping to develop sales strategies for clients and working to assist in the overall content development process from an internal perspective.<> Managing a curated portfolio of client accounts and aiding in their onboarding process once they have integrated into our network.
