Psychologist
CurrentWonderful to be able to provide psychological services to the rural community of the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland. A privilege to be working in a group practice (ACT Psychology) with other psychologists all of whom have many years of experience in all facets of rural mental health. A rural psychology practice provides an opportunity to work with a broad range of presenting psychological issues affecting the lives of a diverse range of people such as farmers, tradespeople, FIFO workers, professionals, etc. Such diversity of people and issues keeps the rural psychologist on their toes and I find I draw a lot from my various experiences listed below. It is a privilege to be able to live and work in such a beautiful part of the world surrounded by rainforests, crater lakes, waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife such as platypus, tree kangaroos and cassowaries.
