• Developed site strategies for complying with EHS regulations (including developing protocols for and conducting facility self-audits of environmental and IH programs) , for tracking emission reductions, and for reducing spill/release incidents. • Managed during 1986-1988 both the process safety and hazard management and EHS compliance activities within an organic chemical production department and the day-to-day production system operations. • Participated on over 20 operational safety/health survey teams of North American petrochemical/specialty chemical, utilities, and distribution departments that assessed loss prevention, process safety, and employee exposure hazards. • Developed/updated all internal company health engineering design standards. • Designed wastewater collection facilities for major capital projects at both grassroots sites and expansions to existing facilities, served on project engineering teams, and coordinated trouble-shooting of wastewater pre-treatment systems during startups.
