Greg Van Ness is a Regional President with AssuredPartners and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and general management of the West Region, comprised of over 20 locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Prior to leading the West Region, Greg was CEO of one of the largest offices in the West, Tolman & Wiker (“TW”), a large regional insurance brokerage operation that is now the Southern California agency platform for AssuredPartners. With over 30 years of insurance brokerage experience in property & casualty insurance sales, risk consulting, and regional leadership with public and privately-held insurance brokerages, Greg became Tolman & Wiker’s first CEO in August, 2012.

Tolman & Wiker Insurance Services is one of the largest, privately held insurance brokerage, risk management, and benefits consulting firms in California, and is now a proud AssuredPartners agency.

Intra-regional and national resource leader for high-priority initiatives and special projects.

Led and grew a 7 office territory of $60 million in total revenue. Grew the regional hub office in Rancho Cordova from $10 million to $31 million in revenue in 10 years, and quadrupled the operating profit during that time. That office also became the largest Employee Benefits office in the WF national enterprise. Grew organically, made and integrated acquisitions, acquired and developed producers, and developed nationally recognized industry segment specialties in Hospitality, Higher Ed, Agribusiness, and Gaming. Led the nation in client retention and cross-selling multiple times during that tenure.

Led the press operations team at the UC Santa Barbara Olympic Village through planning and development to a fully operational news facility during the 1984 Summer Olympic Games.
