During my career in Health Care, I have been involved in all phases of Procurement & Supply Chain Management. These include: Procurement Services, Business Contracts, Data Management, Supply Chain Software Implementation & Consulting, Purchasing, Receiving, Distribution, Printing, Inventory Management, Capital Equipment, HIPAA BAA management, etc.As Director of Procurement Services at UCSF Health, I am responsible for efficient and fiscally responsible procurement spend in excess of $660 Million annually. We successfully manage all aspects of Procurement activity by utilizing vital Information from two key systems:One is our Allscripts Supply Chain Information System that contains 110,000 Formulary Supply Items, of which 40,000 are directly linked to our EPIC Patient Billing System and is the source of all acquisition cost information for patient chargeable items. We manage over 1,000 Requisitions & Purchase Orders daily with this system, as well as utilizing the automation tools available from Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX).Our other key Procurement tool is our ContracKing Management System, designed and built on the Salesforce platform, that is used to efficiently manage over 3,200 UCSF Health Professional Service related contracts and Capital Purchase Orders.As a result of our very competent & friendly Procurement Services Team, we have been recognized with numerous National awards, including:GHX "US Provider of the Year Large Facility" - 2019GHX Best 50 List - 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014ECRI "Healthcare Supply Chain Achievement Award" - 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012Healthcare Purchasing News Elite 11 "Supply Chain Operations Worth Watching" - 2014GHX "US Provider of the Year Large Facility" - 2012GHX "Industry Impact Provider" - 2012
