I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University in 1987 where I was president of the West Virginia University chapter of the Industrial Engineering Honor society. I have mechanical engineering and real world technical experience from working as an engineer for over ten years and managing both an engineering department and the design and fabrication of new products and new manufacturing equipment. I received a Juris Doctor degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1997.I have broad experience in client counseling in the area of intellectual property with substantial experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications both domestic and foreign. I have worked extensively in various mechanical arts including diverse mechanical and machining fields, welding consumables, manufacturing equipment and systems, tooling and fixturing, fire arms, hunting products, and mineral retrieval and processing technology. I have experience in management of large patent and trademark portfolios around the world including a large and active trademark practice that has involved numerous trademark inter-partes proceedings in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe and Asia.
