I worked as the L.A. Regional Director for Notes for Notes (N4N). N4N is a non-profit company that builds and staffs free recording studios for youth. At N4N I was responsible for building and running the first N4N location in L.A. Day-to-day responsibilities included instructing youth (primarily ages 11-13) in all aspects of music--songwriting, guitar, piano, drums, bass, recording, beat production, DJing, and any other thing they wanted to learn. I was also in charge of managing our volunteers and seeking out new recruits, logging studio attendance into an online database, generating monthly studio reports, and recording and producing music tracks.

For almost 6 years I served as a Production Manager at leidos (SAIC), a role that required me to wear many different hats. I worked with project managers from offices throughout the country, dealing with multiple deadlines a day across four time zones. The job was often fast paced, requiring rapid turnarounds and an ability to constantly shift priorities. Our division focused on environmental consulting, and our documents ranged in size from a few pages to over 10,000.
