Through my time to date I have held a number of roles within nbn’s Finance function both across Financial Control and Commercial Finance. Initially joining as Senior Accountant in 2013 I have been fortunate to progress through to Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager and Executive Manager. Most recently I have taken up an opportunity in Commercial Finance supporting the Network and Engineering Organisation (NEO) managing commercial contracts and the financial consolidated planning, budgeting and reporting process.

Role: Audit team member reporting to Audit LeaderDuring my time as a contractor working at the Audit Office of New South Wales I was involved in the audit of the Department of Attorney General and Justice. My key responsibilities have included:• The audit of all key financial statement areas• Detailed reviewed of financial statements ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards• Preparation of Auditor General Note for inclusion within the annual Auditor General Report

Role: External Auditor, Ernst & Young, Some of the key engagements I have worked on during my time in EY include:Audit Senior on Oracle Corporation (Shared Services Centre for Europe – 2010 turnover $8,938bn). My key responsibilities included: • Analysis and testing of Intercompany royalties flowing upwards to parent company• Cost Plus analysis between individual Oracle entities and all of Oracle EMEA • Audit of key Financial Statement areas with key focus on Accounts Receivable, Bad Debt Reserve and Revenue testing and analysis• Reviewing work papers performed by US colleagues to (1) identify Irish GAAP adjustments and (2) identify additional procedures to be performed to fulfil Irish GAAP requirements in order to complete statutory accounts• Consolidation of subsidiaries to parent financial statementsConsultant to Digicel Ltd. – Papua New Guinea (2010 Group Turnover US$2.2bn)Role: Secondment in 2008. My key responsibilities included:• Development, compilation and application of system process notes and controls • Upload of all inventory held into the accounting system (Great Plains) and reconciliation between sub ledger and general ledger• Set up of Inventory module in Great Plains • Training of local staff• Intermediary between PWC as auditors and clientLead Senior on three subsidiaries of The Irish Times Ltd. (Primary Team – 2009 Turnover €92m). My key responsibilities included:• Completing the statutory audits of three subsidiaries which involved planning, execution and completion of the audit while also delegating tasks and reviewing work prepared by juniors• Development, compilation and application of system process notes and controls • Audit of technical areas such as complex provisions and the capitalisation of website development costs
