I have become an expert at predictive technologies, lean manufacturing implementations as well as maintenance and operations management. I have successfully supervised and managed four different facility engineering, maintenance, safety, environmental and operation departments and have successfully reduced operating costs while improving efficiency within the maintenance and production departments. Technical Manager
I oversee the entire maintenance department, engineering group and environmental group for the facility. I manage the entire capital budget for our site and also run multi site projects when needed. I manage an average annual capital budget that ranges from $2-5 million. The projects associated with this budget are run by myself or one of my engineers from start to finish (concept/design to final release to production). Also oversee the Good to Great program which annually produces approx. $1 million dollar savings for the Harrisonville plant. I help develop the 5 and 10 year strategic plan for our facility. Work with the maintenance planning and scheduling groups in order to improve efficiency, reduce costs and help develop a long term PM and PDM approach for our facility. Develop and drive Lean Manufacturing within the facility and directly impact the engagement level within the maintenance department via Kiazen and 5S events. Own creation of developmental plans for all technical group employees.
Reliability Engineer
I currently oversee the PDM department which consists of one technician. His primary focus is on vibration collection and analysis. He also has responsibilities for ultrasonics, lubrication collection and IR. I have improved the flow of work from the PDM department in the past year, which has lead to a saving of approximately 250k over the past year. In addition to my responsibilities over the reliability department I also supervise a crew of technicians that work on all equipment that is on the outside of the facility. This covers all utilities associated with our plant. Which includes air compressors, steam boilers, pumps, ovens, gas furnace and lots of conveyors. I also have a good amount of experience with water treatment systems and fire systems. This is just a short list and doesn't incorporate all the equipment which I have experienced. I also help with day to day maintenance activities, which include planning and scheduling.
