Responsible for managing all aspects of automation projects related to HVAC controls and Security/Access control systems, including managing the project team members, the Customer and all subcontractors, vendors and consultants to implement the installation of controls projects within the proposed schedule and budget, while ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.Typical Project Management tasks included:• Preparing detailed work plans and schedules for controls installation projects.• Assembling and preparing team members for projects. • Designing the layout of the DDC system network, the HVAC system schematics, wiring schematics/sketches, written sequences of operation, as well as DDC system point schedules.• Communicating and coordinating with the Solutions Design Centre (SDC) engineering team to prepare for the proposed controls system design drawings for submittal and construction purposes. • Preparing subcontract, vendor, and equipment purchase orders.• Ensuring all materials are ordered and delivered on schedule / on time. • Co-ordinating with the electrical installation subcontractor. • Co-ordinating the required installation details for valves, wells, dampers, etc… with the mechanical contractors that the company works with and for.• Tracking project costs of materials, engineering labour, technical labour for programming, graphics and commissioning labour actual vs. estimated and engineered re-estimated costs.• Providing direction and over all tracking of work performed by technical team working on installation projects.• Creating and communicating accurate, timely and detailed project status information (e.g. work completed to date, work schedule, deviations, subcontractor changes, customer issues and/or project scope changes.• Preparing and providing accurate and timely project forecast data for revenue planning, and tracking on a monthly basis.• Preparation of all project close out documentation.
