As a RAAF Reservist I was responsbile for managing Edinburgh Defence Precinct Community Engagement Strategy. This involved working with and understanding the many diverse Defence community stakeholders at all levels including veterans, local and state government, veterans, education, indigenous, not for profit, Defence industry and business. Other outputs included the production of a new Welcome to Edinburgh Defence Precinct Magazine and key major events for Edinburgh such as the Baker-Gordon Charity Shield, a new signature event for Defence's relationship with the Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation in Adelaide.

The Air Warfare Centre is a large RAAF organisation comprising 1000 personnel including ADF, Australian Public Service and Contractors in 14 different units located around Australia. The organisation is undergoing significant change as part of a major transformation to drive innovation across Air Force requiring major workforce realignment over several years.- Led Headquarters Air Warfare Centre (120 staff) providing centralised governance, HR, administrative, organizational change, culture, logistics and support services to the Air Warfare Centre.- As the Commander's Chief of Staff, executed the Commanders intent across the organisation and his five immediate Directors routinely acting on behalf of the Commander with full responsibility.- Drove organisational change across the organisation remediating structural, workforce, cultural, training, WHS and business improvement deficiencies.- Develop and manage the Air Warfare Centre Strategic Plan and subordinate business plans.- Performed duties of Senior Australian Defence Officer in South Australia throughout the community engaging Government (local, State and Federal), emergency services, veterans and Defence support organisations and industry.- Exercised full authority of Senior ADF Officer (Edinburgh) and Commander AWC in his absence coordinating major activities across Edinburgh Defence Precinct.- Developed and executed strategic public affairs and community engagement plan.- Managed the planning of numerous major / VIP events including Air Force Senior Leadership Team and Air Marshal's Symposium to RAAF Edinburgh. - Coordinated the Air Force's community engagement and support to non-profit organisations program in South Australia.- Represent Air Force on the South Australia Defence Consultative Group ensuring Air Force interests and requirements were ensured.- Authored two RAAF Pathfinder's on air warfare innovation to promote the Air Warfare transformation

Chaired by the CEO History Trust of South Australia, the Epic Flight Centenary 2019 Committee is a formal Committee formed under the auspices of the History Trust of South Australia to develop a program of events in South Australia to appropriately commemorate and recognise the Centenary of the 1919 Great Air Race and the epic flight of the Smith Brothers to fly from England to Australia in 28 days. The Committee has representatives from key government, veteran, business and other community groups.

Cystic Fibrosis South Australia (CFSA) is the peak community organisation working in South Australia with and for people with CF, their families and carers to achieve a Vision of ‘Lives unaffected by Cystic Fibrosis. It provides support services to people battling Cystic Fibrosis and their families, and influences the community and government to improve health, care and other services and funds research into finding a cure for CF. As well as a Board Member, I am the Secretary of the Board and am significantly involved in organising major events for the organisation.

As the Commanding Officer of 87 Squadron (the Air Force's intelligence Squadron), I commanded, led and managed an organisation of approx 180 pers to meet Chief of Air Force operational and preparedness capability requirements, organisational outputs, the provision of air intelligence and targeting products for the Air Force, the safety, training and wellbeing requirements of all Squadron staff. - Implemented a challenging but successful strategic plan for unit that adeptly balanced operational commitments, core tasks, workforce management as well as developing capabilities for new roles. - Aggressively pursued cultural and procedural change developing policy, making staff accountable and managers active participants in governance processes resulting in greatly improved performance. - Implemented structural changes to enable better planning and distribution of tasks to alternate resources remediating shortfalls during high operational tempo and vacancies cause by deployments.- Introduced various innovative communications mechanisms including newsletters, video conference and, importantly, regularly engage key stakeholders face to face to resolve issues, communicate intent, ensure alignment across diverse locations and develop relationships. - Organised 50th anniversary of the Air Force Intelligence formation Symposium and Dinner with guests of honour Chief of Air Force, Governor Generals spouse, and veterans.

Led and managed Air Force doctrine development. Principle author of "The Air Force Approach to ISR" - the RAAF's first ISR doctrine. This document has significantly influenced RAAF understanding of ISR. Principle Author of "Command and Control in the RAAF" - Key doctrine publication for Air Force. Extensive author of RAAF Pathfinder serials writing on air power, military history, intelligence, irregular warfare and doctrine. Managed RAAF Air Power Course. Awarded Chief of Air Force Commendation for impact on RAAF Doctrine development.- Established collaborative network with diverse stakeholders located around Australia to collectively develop and manage Air Force doctrine.- Authored numerous published articles designed to educate Air Force on specific air power issues.- Managed online air power education course for Air Force training 30 students per year.- Delivered oral presentations to audiences of up to 100 persons on air power.- Shaped and influenced Australian air power thinking at the highest levels of the Air Force.- Written speeches for Defence leadership;

As a Division Chief in the Combat Application Department, I managed a large division of about 40 joint US personnel. I also managed the production of a reserve support unit located on the US mainland which was dedicated to supporting my Division.Was at the forefront of innovation driving the development and acceptance of new targeting software, tools and databases. Selected to and represented Australian Defence Force in overseas representative exchange officer position.

Managed the development and delivery of Air Force intelligence training by coordinating training requirement, design, development, delivery and evaluation. Responsible for instigating the first ever senior air intelligence officer training and basic enabler training for the air intelligence employment group.Networked with strategic, operational and tactical level stakeholders to delever the training required.

Led and managed (sub-unit command) an intelligence flight of approximately 45 persons in the provision of intelligence and aerial reconnaissance to fast jet combat operations. Participated in various RAAF, joint and combined exercises.
