My job was to act as a Project Manager in the mining sector for the jobs that come through. This involves customer meetings, quote preparation, drafting/engineering supervision/checking, tender preparation, estimating, etc. I work with a staff of 6 draftsmen and 5 engineers. Projects that I have participated in have been valued up to $12 million with the engineering work valued at over $1 million. I am currently managing 7 projects with an overall worth of approximately $40 million. These projects include: project manage design, tender, quote, construction of HV workshop facilities (including washbay, warehouse, offices, toilets, parts store, etc) x 4 sites, project manage design, tender, quote, installation of piping system for automatic analysis of nickel processing plant, project manage design, tender and quote for raise bore liner, assist in project management of design, tender, quote and construction of PE pipeline. These projects are with BHPB and other smaller operators. Advise the Minister on variety of issues related to public transport, taxi industry and security. I designed and verified pressure vessels (API 650 & AS1210) and conducted failure analysis to BS7910. These duties included finite element analysis (FEPipe), thermodynamics analysis (Caesar II) and Autocad drawing. I successfully modelled and designed many vessels that were used in the oil and gas industries and mineral processing. Four people reported to me. Projects were valued in the $millions. Accomplishments:o Successfully deliver multiple projects on time and on budget.

My role involved project management and technical development and testing. I was responsible for the US activities of the company which involved negotiation, estimating, time management, commissioning, training, product development etc. My major achievements were to do the initial product development for the in-situ sensor. This initiated the cooperation with Airbus. This project was valued at over $2,000,000. I also did the prototype work for a new product line, the laser ablated sensor. This was used to certify the technology with Boeing. This was a project valued at over $500,000. I had 10 people or more reporting directly to me. This included technical and business persons. Other clients included USNavy, US Air Force, Delta, NWA and Sandia National Labs. I also published over 20 peer reviewed papers while at SMS. Design, implementation and testing of electronic modifications to servohydraulic testing machines. I successfully designed, built and tested a PID system to allow measurement of strain while maintaining a zero load on the specimen while cooling a specimen from 1100°C to room temp. One paper published. The project was valued at over $100,000. Accomplishments: o Successfully design and build PID system for servohydralic testing machine

Attend to various customer queries, develop system to accomplish task, implement and achieve results on time and on budget. Accomplishments: o Successfully diagnose failures of aluminium idlers of conveyor belt system for resources industry. Reports submitted as evidence in litigation. Project valued at over $1MAUD.
