I acted as the Lead Officer for Learning and Development, Succession Planning, Equalities and Diversity and Health and Safety in the Kent County Council Finance Division (comprising 269 staff). As a direct report to the Corporate Director of Finance I ensured complete confidentiality and discretion in the handling of sensitive material both on paper and in discussion. This included the drafting of correspondence on behalf of the Corporate Director and Divisional Management Team using appropriate discretion and judgement in terms of the content. In this senior management support role I also monitored the use of systems and processes to identify problems and assess new ways of working to address high volumes and competing client needs.
