ILSEP’s programming will increase officer and public safety and promote a positive image for law enforcement and corrections officers. I provide county-wide advice to management on employment law and labor relations and represent Sherburne County in employment-related administrative hearings, legal and administrative actions initiated by unions. I provide legal advice to and strategize with the Sherburne County Board, County Administrator, and Assistant County Administrator on cases and policy involving employment and labor law. I advise all Department Heads on interpretation and implementation of language within collective bargaining agreements, contract addendums, memoranda of understanding, and other union issues. I develop county-wide policies and conduct county-wide training on employment related matters such as harassment, disciplinary documentation, and diversity, working in close collaboration with the Sherburne County Attorney and HR Director.
