I have enjoyed a varied career from Farming, Fire Fighting, Public Transit operator, Pre-fab concrete construction, Railway yard technician to finally moving into a 36 year career at 3M Canada. 3M Canada was a wonderful place to work and learn. I enjoyed several years in all aspects of 3M Canada’s Environmental Health and Safety programs. During that time, we were successful in helping design, build and maintain the ISO 14001 ENVIRONMENTAL piece into our already robust ISO systems, which was added to the Health and Safety program. I was also able to develop and create a MILL SUPPLY purchasing program within our Manufacturing facility which is still ongoing today. I specialized in manufacturing process parts retrieval and enriching the stock supply and part buying process for these specialized manufacturing pieces. After retiring from 3M, I decided to start my own small business and had a busy Property Maintenance business in West Quebec area. After the Covid upheaval, my wife and I decided we would like to move back to Ontario and settled again in the Ottawa Valley. An opportunity was provided for me to reignite my Health and Safety career and I decided to return to the work place. I am now enjoying a SECOND and even more enriched career. I am blessed with the opportunities provided over my work career. Life is about enjoying what you do and I am truly blessed with the teams I have been able to be part of over the years.
