Vactor is the worlds largest manufacturer of vacuum trucks located in Streator Illinois.I'm Responsible for sales, marketing and product demonstration for utilities and the contractors that support them. Main focus primarily deals with the hydro and air excavation vac trucks.

United Rentals is the worlds largest supplier of construction equipment with approx $7 billion in assets. I worked exclusively for the lift division, renting and selling aerial lifts. ▪ Dealt with a variety of decision makers from foreman to owners of major companies requiring me to be on my intellectual toes, constantly changing sales gears with a quick wit and sharp responses▪ Strategically negotiated rental rates based on market knowledge, customers’ history and potential for growth.▪ Grew market share, developed new accounts, maintained existing ones.▪ Met and exceeded budget for 24 quarters in succession.▪ Earned company nearly $8M in total revenue for 2005.▪ $1M revenue in one month with a combination of $550k rentals and $450k retail (unheard of in industry).▪ Earned Top Gun Award for $1.9M total retail sales in one year (highest ever for Baltimore market).▪ Conducted state and federally required safety training, web training and forklift certifications. ▪ Completed advanced management training at company HQ (privilege - only top achievers are selected). I spent an incredible amount of time on the road traveling making countless business relationships. Customer support incl: safety training, web training, equipment specs for job sites and analytical research. Also, I introduced customers to the financial advantages of purchasing new and used equipment, negotiated the payment terms, finance rates and overall cost. I attended every conceivable sales and marketing training within and outside the industry, including Dale Carnegie, Jeffrey Gitomer, manufacturer sponsored training and internal sales development seminars. I attended and directed several conventions related to our equipment and established hundreds of contacts through organizations such as the American Subcontractors Association and the Associated Builders of America.

Performed various machinist duties including the set up and programming of CNC machines, basic undercutting and finishing cuts on lathes. Reworked new stainless steel welds on an arc-welding lathe.
