Honored as the first student to successfully design and build a digital audio delay device (echo for audio applications). Three prior unsuccessful attempts had been made. This was a time when digital signal processing was in its nascent stage and audio delays used in recording and live sound were extremely "noisy" and inefficient due to the bucket brigade method of delay in analog devices.
