    Since 2009 I have worked with a handful of bands and producers to varying degrees, the longest and current being Late Guest at the Party.Over the years, my input and guidance has covered every aspect of the music industry and more. For LGATP in particular, as a band originally from Italy, I have had to help navigate the artist Visa process, deal with payment and tax issues from international performances, as well as strategize and re-strategize due to multiple personnel changes.More generally speaking, my duties have included helping handle all the finances of the bands, act as liaison between the band and external partners (publicists, agents, promoters, etc), book shows, set up production/writing sessions, stay up to date on industry news to keep the artists informed, network constantly, and countless other tasks that help grow emerging artists.

    As a 3-level event space, The Delancey often holds multiple events at once. There could be live music in the downstairs performance space, a social mixer with DJs on the main floor, and a private corporate function on the rooftop. Additionally, there are often early time frames and late night time frames, meaning up to 6 events in one night, and on weekends full-to-capacity reservations. In my position as Events Director I was responsible for the entire calendar of the club. I booked the vast majority of events and reservations and approved/denied/scheduled events that came through upper-management, my assistant, and/or partner promoters. I was responsible for coordinating and relaying all pertinent information to upper-management and the night managers to make sure the events themselves ran as smoothly as possible and to the satisfaction of our clients, as well as making sure any transitions between events were efficient and not bothersome to clients.The position also required me to act as general gatekeeper to the club in the sense of making sure events would be profitable. There were many factors to be weighed; from day of week to time of day/night to guest count to bar minimums and numerous others. Balancing these factors with what prospective clients wanted was often challenging, but was also very rewarding when I was able to make all parties happy.

    Acted as the primary live music booker for the downstairs performance space, and assisted the Events Director on many of the above duties.As a club open 7 days a week, it was my responsibility to make sure there was at least one event happening in the performance space every night. This required constantly keeping tabs on bar rings, promoter/band draws, vocalizing satisfaction/dissatisfaction with promoters and seeing if there was any way to improve numbers if need be, finding new promoters/bands/DJs, etc.

    Feed the Arts was a start-up arts funding platform that aimed to utilize ad revenue generated by users that could be redistributed to various artists on the site.As Head of Artist Relations it was my job to generate interest in music communities, engage with artists to get them to join the site, and act as a point of contact once they joined. I would also reach out to labels, studios, music stores, producers, etc.I was also crucial in landing a brand partnership with Gibson Guitars, which allowed us to utilize their New York Showroom for a series of promotional acoustic sessions for artists joining the site. This added an enormous amount of credibility to the company for musicians, and helped drive the user base up, as well as make us more enticing to other sponsors.
