Senior Director of Software & Services Division, reporting to the CTO of VIZIO.Cross-functional division consisting of Engineering, PM, QA, IT, contractors, and external agencies.Responsible for 5 distinct teams which powers services for SmartCast, VIZIO’s SmartTV platform.Pipeline Team: large-scale data ingestion and translation micro-services, data modeling.API Team: business logic, transforming data into JSON API responses, dynamic imaging serviceClient Team: HTML-based entertainment discovery app and deep-linking into third party apps.Ad-Tech: maintains ad-tech stack for monetizing display and video ads on our SmartTV experience.Operations Team: maintains 24x7 hybrid environment of local Data Center and AWS Cloud Designed system architecture, ensuring high availability, scalability, and maintainability.Launched SmartCast service in March 2016 and maintain greater than 99.99% uptime.Technologies include C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Vue.js, AWS Services.Manage financial aspects including budget, expenses, and invoices for Software & Services Division.

Responsibility and ownership for website, APIs, middle-tier, and backend development.Implemented C# library, JavaScript library, caching layer, and API service.Built page rendering engine, including a template-based configuration-management system.Ingestion of all data, including metadata from 3rd parties such as Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, etc.Created Unity system to match and merge metadata from heterogeneous catalogs.Created Vibes system, combining data and personalization to deliver customized user experiences.

Designed and implemented end-to-end features for group-travel planning website.Managed release cycles, site deployments, and on-call maintenance of site.

Implemented front-end and middle-tier for first version of Passport (Windows Live ID).Designed and implemented Passport Wallet Service, Microsoft’s first external web service.Created front-end and middle tier for photo sharing site supporting millions of users.Co-developed framework library which became the basis for Microsoft’s .NET AJAX Client.

Managed technical sales, explaining software and technology to potential customers. Firefly was acquired by Microsoft shortly after my arrival.

Design document and data retrieval system to house all of Sun's internal documentation.Built in JAVA utilizing Netscape's publishing system.
