A lot of my colleagues don’t know this, but I spent my first ten years working as a Navy pilot. Looking back, I still think I chose a more exciting profession. Twenty years ago, I decided to pursue a career in digital media and mobile technology, and earned my stripes in analytics, data-based decisions and paid media strategy. At the time, the industry was advancing at an exponential rate. And while that’s hardly changed, I’ve learned the value of slowing down, having patience, and looking for the right answer- not just the answer that works for right now. Integrity, focus and executional excellence form a big part of the way I do business. I’ve learned the value of saying ‘no’, to a customer when we can’t deliver on expectations or when our solution is not a good fit. The value of a relationship over time is much greater to me than any single ‘deal’. That said, I count myself lucky to work with organizations who are leaders in their own industry, and to have the opportunity to learn more about their businesses from them.
