It's interesting. How differently we act in person versus on paper. If we just met, would I introduce myself by telling you, say, how "highly skilled and expertly versed" I am at communicating? Nope (well, at least not at first, geesh). But on paper (or on LinkedIn), it's like - 'Hi I'm Greg, I'm a virtuoso of intergalactic proportions for increasing ROI.' Instead I'll keep my hyperbolic self-assessments to a minimum, and summarize myself as a creative and dependable idealist. In a nod to James Lipton, some of my favorite words include: "narrative", "brainstorm", "Myers Briggs", "unique value proposition", "KPI", "transformation", "arc", "insight", and "clutter busting".For marketing, I feel at ease examining hard data, creating a strategic plan, and distilling key points into a WIIFM ('what's in it for me') approved message. For narrative storytelling, I enjoy the whole process of starting with a theme and then finding/breaking the story, creating memorable characters, and then taking those characters on a journey that leads to some type of transformation.I'll close the summary portion by pointing out that since I became marketing manager, our yearly inquiry numbers have tripled, and our enrollments have risen by 15% year-over-year.
