As the Director of Secondary Education - High Schools at EUGENE SD 4J, I oversee all 9-12 programs and support services for more than 5,000 students in5 schools. With over 25 years of experience in education, I am a systems leader who focuses on aligning curriculum, instruction, and assessment with the district's vision and goals.I am passionate about equity, ethics, and reform in education, and I strive to create opportunities and expectations for all students to learn at high levels. I have extensive experience in building teacher leadership capacity, implementing Response to Intervention programs, changing school culture and climate with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, and directing AVID programs that empower students to pursue college and career readiness. I am also a published author and researcher who has contributed to the field of educational leadership with multiple articles and a dissertation on topics such as PLCs, school effectiveness, and student achievement.
