I mentor and facilitate leaders and teachers across the country in a range of different contexts. As an experienced principal I have a particular focus on school change and supporting leaders of all kinds to be the best they can be; as well as supporting all educators on their improvement journeys. Currently I am a Ministry of Education accredited facilitator and Learning Services Manager with Tātai Aho Rau Core Education. I previously jointly led the Learning with Digital Technologies, and ICT PD professional learning and development programme. In these roles I coordinate and support the 60+ facilitators across the country, with a focus on the lower half of the North Island and the South Island. I work around the country in a wide variety of different contexts and with audiences across the schooling and early childhood sectors. My particular focus and interest is in school leadership and change, and the implementation of Inquiry led improvement initiatives. I have a passion for supporting schools transforming their practice with a focus on applying the science of learning to teacher pedagogy. I have particular experience and expertise in language and literacy.I also facilitate in the New Pedagogies for Deep Learning programme. This is an exciting global movement of schools utilising the work and experience of Michael Fullan and his associates. This is an increasing part of my work with schools and clusters where they are using this thinking and the resources to shape and consider their pedagogies and leadership/change initiatives.I have presented workshops and worked with school leadership teams in Australia, Canada and New Zealand on everything from on-scale Tier 2 literacy interventions, to strategic planning and school transformation initiatives.As an experienced coach, mentor and leader of change I am available through Tātai Aho Rau's mentoring and other programmes, MoE Regionally Allocated PLD programme, and our Consultancy services.
