As a Senior Architect in the Cisco Practice at The Revere Group, I am responsible for the pre-sales engineering, design, project management and implementation of infrastructure solutions for my clients. I work closely with business and IT owners to translate their needs and issues into delivered solutions that help improve the performance, efficiency and flexibility in their business environment with a focus on controlling costs and maintaining timelines.

I was recently promoted to this position inside the IT organization at MCS. In addition to my previous responsibities for the Network Engineering Team, I am now responsible for all of Core IT Services including the NT Team, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Backups, Facilities, SQL DBA's, Desktop Engineering, and M&A. I have 20 people reporting to me including 2 managers. My duties in this position are to improve process and procedure, create additional efficiencies inside the department and provide enterprise production support for all related areas to the MCS IT infrastructure. Ultimately this means that I'm responsible for everything from the OS down to the gear and the facilities that house our critical applications. I work closely with our IBM staff, Oracle DBA's and Applications Teams to improve and support our new ERP environment.

I’m primarily responsible for the tactical and strategic operations of the company’s enterprise WAN, core LAN, and voice systems. The duties include personnel management, business administrative functions, procedural control, enterprise budgeting, vendor negotiations, product analysis/selection, contract analysis, project management, technical oversight, infrastructure management and enterprise support of voice/data. The technical duties include management of a network composed of 300+ sites across the United States with a variety of logistical challenges. This is an enterprise WAN shop leveraging Cisco hardware and all the ancillary technologies for supporting a network of this size. The company leverages a number of strategic telecommunications products including Sonet, MetroEthernet, and MPLS; while also utilizing several smaller tactical solutions including broad band connectivity and secure access.

During this project I worked as an outside consultant responsible for the integration of a legacy ISP network with a new telecommunication provider following the purchase of the ISP's enterprise network. This position included the design, budgeting, planning and implementation of a redistribution of services for the ISP infrastructure allowing O1 Communications to leverage the new facilities for additional ISP connectivity. Specifically, the position required that I analyze the existing infrastructure components purchased by O1 Communications and create a network under it's own administrative control. This project was successfully completed on deadline and under budget while maintaining network connectivity above the required SLA's on the project.

This was a technical position with an ISP based in the SouthEast United States with approximately 300,000 customers when Volaris was sold. My responsibilities with this company included the design, implementation and support of multiple technical solutions including DNS servers, Web servers, Citrix Servers, POP mail, FTP servers, Ascend TNT modem banks, WAN telecommunication circuits, Foundry Big Iron switches and multiple types of Cisco routers and switches. ISP work is extremely varied and the demands of this position required an intimate knowledge of all systems under operational control in the Orlando facility. This facility was later purchased by Smart City and is still one of their largest NOC's and colocation facilities in the Orlando market.

In this position, I was a shift supervisor for an armed security firm providing protection services to businesses and individuals in the East Tennessee area. Part of my responsibilities included investigations, site security, and individual protection as well as providing shift supervision to 15 armed personnel.

I started with this company when it was still named HFS Inc as a reservation agent. I was quickly promoted to a Reservation Supervisor where I had over 30 agents reporting to me who met an annual sales quota of over $12,000,000 every year I was in charge.

In this company, I worked as a route salesman providing HBA and grocery services to stores in the East Tennessee area. Responsible for personal annual sales of $400,000 in this position.

An enlisted member of the United States Navy, I was working through the Nuclear Power pipeline when I was discharged for medical reasons from the third school, Naval Nuclear Prototype Training. This is an intense military training program that condenses years of college education in mathematics and nuclear engineering into several months and only accounts for 3% of the Navy's active duty personnel.
