Responsible for the identification, development, marketing, sales, and delivery of all engineering services to our current and potential customers across our market sectors. These responsibilities include performance of our engineering services; managing our service portfolio, market verticals and geographies; and guiding the development of talent and capabilities in support of our strategy.

Responsible for the Special Projects Business whose focus is providing infrastructure solutions to U.S. Government, foreign governments, multilateral banks, and frontier market countries around the world. This business is a high-growth target for Black and Veatch with a service portfolio focus including consulting, program management, engineering, full turnkey design-build and O&M services.

Directly responsible to the President for strategy development as well as leading both our high-growth initiative EPC business as well as global sales and business development for the Business whose charter is focused on infrastructure development for the U.S. government, foreign governments and commercial clients in the U.S. and frontier market countries around the world. This Business is a high-growth target of Black & Veatch for both our short and long-term growth strategies. The portfolio of services across the infrastructure sectors include consulting, program management, conceptual engineering, and full turnkey design-build as well as operation and maintenance services.

As Senior Vice President, I was responsible for our International Infrastructure business and directly responsible to the Division President for strategy development, new business capture and execution for this market area.

As Vice President of Operations for Black & Veatch Telecommunications Division, I was responsible for the overall management of all personnel resources as well as overall business operations for the Division. This includes leading the strategic planning efforts; management of all overhead budgets, forecasts and expenses; safety, quality assurance; and managing commercial aspects of Division Operations.

I previously held the position of Director of Project Services for the Federal Services Division where I was responsible for all field operations, estimating, project controls and associated administrative functions on work performed for the Federal Government. My passion and capacity to manage complex programs and project efforts is clearly reflected in this role, in which I was responsible for the Division’s field operations, including logistically complex and politically sensitive reconstruction efforts across Iraq.

In this role as Manager of Labor Relations at the Black & Veatch Corporate level, I served as the spokesperson for labor within the organization. My responsibilities in this role included representing Black & Veatch in all matters of labor relations, both domestically and internationally. As such, I was integrally involved in developing and refining the core company procedures, policies and strategies that are used to execute construction and design-build projects. I have presented at national conferences on topics such as new contract structures and partnering approaches that benefit owners, contractors/engineers and labor.
