During these three roles, I led all supply chain functions, enabling efficiency and increased profitability in demand planning, buying, procurement, transportation, planning and forecasting, multi-site warehousing, customer service and fulfillment operations. I managed warehouse and customer service employees. I strategically assessed the current state and developed forward looking strategy, executing against it. More specifically, I reduced total inventory by over 50% YOY while maintaining in stock service percentages. I led consolidation of fulfillment locations, reducing costs by over 7% while reducing delivery lead times by 33%. I also implemented an automated robotics fulfillment solution, increasing order throughput by 15% with further process enhancements planned to push throughput to 30%. I improved manual fulfillment output per labor hour by 17% and optimized the shipping network and pricing contracts yielding an annual transportation savings of 25%. I changed international shipping, increasing sales to key markets over 30% YOY. I also established more rigor, making inventory management a formal business strategy and product, reviewed and discussed at all levels. Finally, I was awarded 2020’s Visionary from Consumer Goods Technology.

Here, I owned transportation and distribution and led 90 in the Customer Service Organization. I saved $3M in costs through distribution optimization and pricing negotiations for inbound and outbound distribution. I increased the percentage of customers receiving orders within 2 days from 35% to 81%. I also prioritized staff for Customer Service, producing a 15% improvement in SLA. I restructured the Kroger enterprise parcel and LTL pricing, saving $2M. Lastly, I implemented the China go-to-market strategy, increasing monthly revenue from $300k to $1M+.

As the Director of Global Logistics, I was in charge of distribution and transportation for 13 countries and led cartonization optimization, package auditing, box selection, and sealing automation. I implemented $8M annual cost reductions through network distribution optimization, demand planning improvements, and pricing negotiations. I led RFQ and negotiations and reduced pricing including Ocean 30%, Air 25%, LTL 15%, FTL 10% and Parcel 20%. I also implemented an inbound freight planning process, increasing load utilization by 20% and an annual $1M savings. In addition, I enhanced international container utilization from 69% to 86% through changes to forecast and inventory planning. I negotiated and designed a small package distribution program for Europe, reducing transportation cost 50%. Finally, I changed outbound parcel distribution, saving $300,000, and $400,000 in planning for implementation.

Strategic owner of Roll Materials network distribution initiative. Responsible for managing all aspects of North American Transportation for 4 divisions w/ total spend of $50 M annually. Oversaw $7 M private fleet of 40 drivers including the fleet’s cross dock operation. Direct responsibility for 40 employees (managers, analysts, drivers and material handlers).

Responsible for managing service program execution and support for Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) activities at the operational level. Provided analysis for strategic direction of supply chain network optimization/ service programs.

Project Engineer for ATV division. Led testing and field validation of multiple ATV models. Key member of the cost reduction team and was awarded the Cost Reduction Silver Elite Award for efforts at reducing production costs by over $2 million annually.
