As a leader, collaborator, and connector, I have the privilege of working with leaders who are growing our economy and transforming society in innovative and meaningful ways. I am a fourth generation British Columbian with over 30 years of experience in key leadership roles in the private and public sectors. In early 2023, I joined Canadian Strategy Group (CSG) as a partner.I’ve established a reputation as a strategic collaborator, bringing people together through a broad network of thought leaders and decision makers from businesses, governments, communities, First Nations, and the not-for-profit sector to achieve results. I advise and create policy solutions in Canadian regulated industries such as infrastructure, manufacturing, life sciences, technology, and the energy and resource sectors. For much of the last decade, I have been a recognized leader in forming partnerships with Indigenous Nations and advancing meaningful economic reconciliation opportunities. Before joining CSG, I served as the CEO of the Business Council of British Columbia, a 250-member organization comprised of CEOs from leading companies in every sector of the Western Canadian economy, including post-secondary Institutions. During my 12 years with BCBC, I was a regular media commentator, advanced new economic opportunity and collaborations, while growing the organization, its revenue and reputation.Prior to BCBC, I was the Western Canadian president for Canada’s National Brewers operating joint business units and advancing regulatory and competitive market solutions. Earlier in my career, I served the Prime Minister of Canada, the Minister of National Defence, and the Minister of Justice. I’m enthusiastic about community service, currently as the chair of the YMCA of B.C. Other current and recent roles include serving as the Chair of the BC Cancer Foundation, and co-Chair of the Cascadia Innovation Corridor. I have served on the Premier’s Indigenous Business and Investment Council, and the Premier’s COVID Response Council; and on the Boards of the Academic Health Sciences Network and currently on the BC Achievement Foundation and Pacific Autism Family Network boards .I am grateful for my friends, and colleagues who have supported me and pushed me to become a better more informed leader. They have on more occasions than I deserve, conspired to be enable me to be recognized me for my passions, including receiving the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and being selected as one of Vancouver's Power 50 and Business in Vancouver’s 500 most influential business leaders in B.C.
